Have you seen this stolen necklace?

Detectives are releasing an image of a distinctive necklace which was stolen during a burglary in Hertfordshire, in an attempt to trace it and return it to its rightful owner after it was stolen in our county on Saturday, January 8 following a burglary.

The offender(s) smashed the glass in a side door and conducted an untidy search inside the address.

Several items of family gold jewellery were stolen, along with a quantity of cash - and officers have launched an appeal across Hertfordshire to see if anyone has been offered the item or has information about it.

Detective Constable Gemma Haines, from the Hertsmere Local Crime Unit said: “The necklace is quite distinctive and I am hoping that anyone who has seen it, perhaps being offered for sale, will remember doing so.

"If you have, please contact me. I’d also like to hear from anyone who may have any other information about the burglary.

"Did you see or hear anything suspicious in the area at the time?

"Any information at all could assist our ongoing enquiries.”

Anyone with information is asked to please email [email protected]

You can also report information online at herts.police.uk/report or call the non-emergency number 101, quoting crime reference 41/2029/22.
