Hitchin motorists: Police appeal for witnesses after driver hospitalised following M1 collision

Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a collision on the M1.

A man in his 30s was taken to hospital with serious injuries after a grey Lexus CT, which had been travelling southbound, was in a collision with an HGV just past junction 10, just before 10pm on Friday, April 30.

PC James McAlister, of the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Road Policing Unit, said: "I am appealing for anyone who was driving southbound on the M1 around the time specified who may have seen the vehicle, or the events leading up to or immediately after the collision, to please get in touch.

"If you were driving in the area and have a dash cam fitted to your vehicle, please could you review the footage and get in touch if you believe you have captured anything that may assist with our investigation.

"Any information, even something that may seem relatively minor or insignificant, could be key to our enquiries."

If you have any information, you can contact PC McAlister directly via email at [email protected] or call the non-emergency number 101 quoting Op Suade.
