Jacob Bancroft has joined Stevenage, becoming Alex Revell's fourth signing of the January Transfer window.

The forward has signed from National League South side Oxford City.

The deal includes defender Luis Fernandez going the other way and rejoining the club he spent some time on loan with earlier in the season.

Bancroft: "I am really happy to get this opportunity.

"My only goals are to work as hard as I can, to help the team and to do my best every time I get on the pitch. I will take every opportunity I get"

Bancroft, 19, can play anywhere across the frontline and arrives on good form after scoring three goals in two games and has a point to prove after being released by Swindon Town in late September.

Delighted Boro boss Revell added: "Jacob is a young and exciting prospect.

"He has shown in the National League South that he has talent.

"As a football club we need to develop that talent and help him further his career as a professional footballer.

"We are excited to work with him and see where the journey takes us."
