Luton Town 3-2 Sheffield Wednesday: Elijah Adebayo's late winner caps exciting comeback for Hatters

Elijah Adebayo's late winner sealed a superb second-half comeback as Luton Town turned around a 2-0 deficit to beat Sheffield Wednesday at Kenilworth Road on Saturday afternoon.

Josh Windass' first-half brace put the Owls in a comfortable position, but Luton boss Nathan Jones inspired triple substitution at the interval turned the match on its head.

His bold changes were soon rewarded when Kal Naismith flicked in Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall's corner before Adebayo's low cross was slotted home by Ryan Tunnicliffe to make it 2-2.

More drama was to come when Adebay capped an outstanding comeback, nodding home Harry Cornick's deep cross, before the Hatter saw out seven minutes of added time to clinch three vital points.

The winner from 23-year-old Adebayo - signed from Walsall for an undisclosed fee on deadline day - gave Luton only a second win in eight Championship matches.

The Hatters sit 14th in the second tier, while the Owls are now six points from safety in 23rd following Birmingham's comeback win against QPR.
