Newport 0-0 Stevenage: PLAYER RATINGS
Newport 0-0 Stevenage: PLAYER RATINGS

Stevenage played out another 0-0 stalemate away to Newport County on Saturday.

A game that lacked any real creative spark or cutting edge ended with a point apiece.

Boro boss Alex Revell will be reasonably happy with his team's defensive solidity but once again will be disappointed with missed chances.

However, ultimately, both teams will be happy with a point in their contrasting hunt for promotion and survival.

Read on to see how Hitchin Nub News rated each players performance.

Stevenage

Jamie Cumming: 6.5 - Dealt well with the terrible pitch condition, some comfortable saves but no major stops were made

Luther James-Wildin: 6.5 - Comfortable game down his wing, didn't make much attacking progress but was defensively astute

Terrence Vancooten: 7 - Won every challenge and aerial due, immense defending at times, no faults once again for the youngster. MOTM

Scott Cuthbert: 6 - Led his line well, won most aerial duels, solid defensive performance

Joe Martin: 5.5 - Dealt well with trouble but could've done better with a few longer balls forward

Ben Coker: 6 - Couldn't do much with the ball at his feet due to the pitch, resorted to balls down the line and crosses which were largely ineffective

Tom Pett: 6.5 - Looked to get Boro forward through any means, made it scrappy when it needed to be

Chris Lines: 5.5 - Struggled to keep the ball on the floor with the awful playing surface, effective at times but struggled with the directness of Newport

Elliot Osborne: 5.5 - Some bright moments

Elliot List: 6 - Had one big chance which he should've converted, looked lethargic and not his usual energetic self

Danny Newton: 6 - Relatively un affective, no clear-cut chances but worked hard on and off the ball

Substitutions:

Stevens: 6

Vincelot: 5.5
