Today's the day!

A brilliant town centre community event in the Hitchin summer social calendar returns today, Saturday (August 13).

Hermitage Road Day sees the return of the wonderful town centre party that makes this yearly event so special.

Expect street dancers, classic cars, live music, DJs, face painting, food, special offers and all the usual frivolity people have come to know and love on this special day.

Organiser, and owner of renowned Hermitage Road hair salon Farley's Felix Camfield-Walker told Hitchin Nub News: "Come and dance, eat, drink and chill on deckchairs and relax in the shade of our many gazebos while you find out what's new on Hermitage Road.

"The fun starts at 10am and goes on till 4pm (officially...) - and what a scorcher it's going to be!

"See you all on Saturday."
