The Hitchin Safer Neighbourhood Team are about to review their local policing priorities for the next six months and would like to hear your views.
If you live in Hitchin and are interested in how your town is policed, then you can meet your local officers at a special public meeting which is being held on Thursday, October 27 at:
St Michaels Mount Community Centre
St Michaels Road
Hitchin SG4 0QY on Thursday, October 27
730pm – 9pm
The Safer Neighbourhood Teams (SNT) work with local communities, dealing with short and long-term neighbourhood issues. They also work in partnership with other local agencies including North Herts Council, to tackle many of the ongoing problems.
The current local priorities for Hitchin Town are:
Residential burglaries
ASB in open spaces and car parks
Speeding
"Members of the public who would like to meet their local officers and discuss the issues they feel are important, are encouraged to attend our meeting," explained SNT Sergeant Guy Westwood.
"We need input from our local communities to help us understand all of the issues that are impacting on them."
Residents are being asked to submit their feedback regarding the issues that matter to them most, between Monday 17 October and Wednesday 26 October.
