Stevenage 0-1 Cheltenham: PLAYER RATINGS

Stevenage lost 1-0 and fell to a third defeat in a row against a Cheltenham side poised for promotion.

Alex Revell's side banged on the door all game but ultimately were unable to break down a resolute Robins side who look destined for League One.

Boro travel to top of the league and fierce rivals Cambridge on Saturday and will be looking to spoil the party.

See how Hitchin Nub News rated each player performance on Tuesday evening

Stevenage:

Jamie Cumming: 6 - Solid hands, vocal throughout, confident in his kicking which is good to see after frustrating with the ball at his feet, very alert to danger

Terrence Vancooten: 6.5 - Maybe caught napping a bit for the goal, however a typical Vancooten performance

Luke Prosser: 6 - Sublime defending at times, some great balls into the channels and into the strikers

Joe Martin: 5 - Not troubled much in the first half before being swapped to allow for a move offensive approach in the second

Jack Smith: 6.5 - Another brilliant performance, looked to create and play balls in behind

Chris Lines: 5.5 - Unlucky with some balls forward into the strikers, an industrious performance

Tom Pett: 6 - Tried to take the game by the scruff of its neck, some good touches and turns

Ben Coker: 5.5 - Tried to make headway down his wing albeit with no reward, dropped back to left back at half time

Jack Aitchinson: 6

Cheltenham:

Griffiths: 6 - Some brilliant kicks from his hands which allowed for quick counter attacks, good handling

Raglan: 6 - Dealt well with the threat of Pett and Norris, some good recovery challenges

Tozer: 6.5 - Solid defending throughout, long throws caused havoc, marshalled the backline well

Long: 6 - Strong throughout, rarely troubled

Blair: 6.5 - Up and down the line all game, kept Aitchinson and Coker quiet

Azaz: 6 - Kept Pett and Lines relatively quiet, looked to get the ball forward at every opportunity

Thomas: 6.5 - Did the basics right, commanded his midfield

Sercombe: 6.5 - Put his experience to good use, bustled well in the centre of midfield
