Job Overview:Our client, a successful injection moulding company, has retained our services to search for an Injection Mould Toolmaker to join their established team to support continued business growth.

Remit:

• As a Toolmaker you will be responsible for the repair & service of injection moulding tools, responsible for the on-time delivery of tooling to the quality expected by the company.
• You will be involved in the manufacture and modification of injection mould tools in a modern and well equipped toolroom, with Hurco machining centres, Sodick Wire eroders, Sodick CNC Spark eroders, Jones & Shipman surface grinders, in house design using Pro Engineer and CAM programming using Powermill

Role:

• Use of manual milling machines
• Use of lathes
• Use of surface and cylindrical grinders
• Use of manual and CNC spark eroders
• Use of CNC wire eroder
• Modification & repair of Injection Mould Tools
• Manufacture and fitting of new injection mould tools
• Using hand tools such as files, hacksaws and grinders
• Experience in general toolmaking, milling, grinding and fitting
• Wiring of Hot runner systems and fault finding
• Assist the Production Team in trouble shooting tooling and moulding faults.
• Ensure that the Companys Health & Safety policies and procedures are adhered to throughout

Requirements:

• Experience in injection mould Toolmaking, and high precision machining Understand and have experience of fitting and assembly of complex mould tools including their repair
• Have the ability to work to tight time scales without compromising quality and safety
• Experience of preparing new Mould Tools for Production
• Experience in general toolmaking, milling, grinding and fitting Experience in toolmaking, manual milling, turning, grinding, EDM Wire and spark erosion and fitting. CNC Machining experience an advantage.
• Candidate to have the ability to communicate well and be part of a team in a small business
