Covid and the weather has forced the postponement of two matches connected with teams in our area.

Hitchin Town's home match with Redditch Unite scheduled for Top Field today, [Saturday, January 8] has been called off due to an outbreak of Covid in the visitors camp.

A Redditch statement said: "Unfortunately our squad has been struck with multiple positive cases and other showing symptoms. We wish all the players affected well and hope they recover soon."

Hitchin Town added: 'Wishing the Redditch squad a speedy recovery."

Stotfold's game in Northamptonshire against Sileby Rangers has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
