Stevenage won through to the third round of the FA Cup on a dramatic afternoon at the Lamex - read on for Nub News player ratings.

League Two battlers Stevenage produced one of the shocks of the second round of the world's oldest knockout competition as they beat League One leaders Hull City on penalties.

On loan Chelsea keeper Jamie Cumming was Boro's hero, saving from the Tigers' Tom Eaves and Sean McLoughlin in the dramatic shootout.

Eaves had earlier given the visitors the lead from the penalty spot after Martin Samuelson had been felled by Arthur Iontton.

Replacement Elliott List finished well to level for the hosts six minutes after coming on in the 72 minute and, after neither side could find a winner in the 30 minutes extra time, the tie went to penalties where the side 21st in League Two held their nerve to win through to the third round in January.

Arthur Iontton: 7 - Gave away a soft penalty but is another talented youngster who will have benefitted from a tough game against a tough team

Charlie Carter: 7 - A talent waiting to explode. Another display that will boost his learning curve

Tyrone Marsh: 7.5 - Lively and energetic as he harried the Tigers throughout

Tom Pett: 8 - A class act as ever.

Danny Newton: 8.5 - Perpetual motion, always a liverwire. A good week for him and his side

Aramide Oteh: 7 - Not as influential as he would have liked given his talent but wasn't through lack of trying

Substitutes:

Arthur Read: 7 - Played his part after coming on for Iontton on 67 minutes

Elliot List: 8 - Boro's goalscorer only six minutes after replacing Marsh to haul the home side back into the game and set up the dramatic finale

Romain Vincelot: 7.5 - Experience under pressure when he came on for a tiring Carver just before extra time

Jack Smith: 7.5 - On for Oteh seven minutes into extra time
