Hitchin's businesses are once again set to take centre stage this autumn with the launch of the Hitchin Town Business Awards 2025, celebrating the people and places that help make our town such a special destination.

Residents are being invited to nominate their favourite town centre businesses across four categories:

• Best Customer Service
• Town Centre Champion
• Employer of the Year
• Best Business Overall

The awards, organised by Visit Hitchin, aim to recognise the outstanding achievements of local traders, cafes, restaurants, and independent stores that go above and beyond for their customers and community.

"This is a brilliant opportunity to shine a light on the businesses that enhance our daily lives and make Hitchin such a vibrant and welcoming town," said a spokesperson for Visit Hitchin. "We encourage everyone to get involved and vote for the businesses that have made a difference to them this year."

The public vote is now open, and winners will be presented with their certificates during one of the town's most anticipated annual events — the Hitchin Christmas Tree Light Switch-On, taking place on Saturday 15th November.
