'We're back' - Hitchin's Market Theatre returns after six month gap

It's official - Hitchin's Market Theatre is back!

The acclaimed site in Sun Street is set to host its first play since the Covid crisis struck back in March.

After a six month gap, the theatre's first play of the season will be Nell Gwyn, a comedy about one of the country's finest actresses - with the eagerly-awaited bawdy tale opening onThursday, September 24.

Theatregoers have to hurry fast to book their tickets due to the limited number of seats available because of social distancing measures in place.

Rebecca Rayne will be starring as Nell.

Previewing the show she said: "It's so great to be performing in this show and helping the Market Theatre back on it feet.

"Please do come and support the show - I hope to see you soon."
