What an amazing town Hitchin is - say the Canaries of Top Field.

Why?

Because Hitchin Town FC have seen another landmark smashed on the way to their £25k crowdfunding target - by revealing they have raised an incredible £15k in just six days.

As Hitchin Nub News exclusively revealed last week the Fishponds Road outfit faced huge challenges to keep the club alive due to the coronavirus crisis, considerable ground repairs and the lack of fans through the turnstiles.

However, since the Canaries launched their appeal the town has rallied around Hitchin Town.

In response to the £15k raised in less than a week the club said: "Another target smashed.

"Thanks so much for the phenomenal support so far. To raise £15,000 in six days is beyond what we thought would be achievable.
