The annual Hitchin Festival is set to return this July with a packed programme of live music, theatre, comedy, art exhibitions and community events across the town.

Organisers say the 2026 festival will once again bring together local venues, performers, artists and community groups for a month-long celebration of culture in Hitchin. The full programme and ticket information is now available online.

The festival officially launches on Saturday 27 June with Hitchin Creative Day in the Market Square, featuring local organisations, performances and activities.

This year's line-up includes live music concerts, comedy nights, family activities, exhibitions, theatre productions and walking tours taking place at venues across the town throughout July.

Among the events linked to the wider festival programme are comedy performances at Woodside Hall, concerts and screenings at Hitchin Town Hall, and a range of arts and cultural activities hosted by local organisations.

Festival organisers say the event continues to showcase the creativity and community spirit of Hitchin, with both free and ticketed events planned across the month.
