Police are appealing for witnesses and information following an attempted burglary in Hitchin.

At around 8pm on Saturday 8 November, attempts were made to break into a property on Ninesprings. A patio door was smashed at the rear of the property before the suspect(s) were disturbed by the occupant. Nothing appears to have been stolen.

Detective Constable Gemma Hutchinson, who is investigating, said: "Our enquiries are continuing, and I am appealing for anyone with information to please get in touch.

"I can be emailed directly via [email protected]."
