Appeal for witnesses following serious assault in Hitchin

Officers investigating a serious assault that occurred in Hitchin are appealing for witnesses, information and dashcam footage.
At around 4pm on Sunday 23 November, a man aged in his 60s was seriously assaulted in the area around Dugdale Court and Moss Way.
The assault left the man with serious injuries to his face, he was taken to hospital where he currently remains.
Detective Sergeant Sam Casey said: "Investigations and enquiries are commencing at speed, and I urge anyone with information to get in touch.
"Were you in the area at the time and saw what happened, or have any further information to help our investigation? Please email me via [email protected]."
