Arrests made after man stabbed outside Hitchin Football Club

Two people have been arrested following a serious stabbing outside Hitchin Football Club on Friday night.
Police were called after an altercation involving multiple people broke out in the club's car park at around 11.50pm on Friday 26 June before spilling into Fishponds Road and Butts Close.
A man in his 30s suffered stab wounds during the incident and remains in hospital. Police say his injuries are serious but are not believed to be life-threatening.
A 21-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy have since been arrested in connection with the incident. The 21-year-old remains in police custody, while the teenager has been released on bail as enquiries continue.
Detective Constable Pete Glover, from Hertfordshire Constabulary's Criminal Investigation Department, is leading the investigation.
He said: "I am appealing to anyone who was at the football club or anyone who was in the area at the time and saw what happened to please get in touch.
"Any information you have could help us during this investigation."
Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses or anyone with information relating to the incident.
