Organisers have cancelled Sunday's all-day rave at Stevenage FC after heavy rain.

Fears over partygoers safety and the state of the Lamex pitch led to the decision being announced in the early hours of Sunday.

The event, called Love Juice, had been intended to start at midday through to 9pm. However, bad weather has resulted in the day being postponed.

Organisers released a statement saying: "Due to heavy rainfall and persistent bad weather throughout the day, Nu Future have taken the difficult decision to postpone tomorrow's LoveJuice event until Sunday, June 6.

"We would like to stress that the safety of our customers and all involved is our primary concern. We all look forward to sunshine and improving conditions very soon.

"Please do not travel to the stadium. Further information will be emailed to all ticket holders in due course."

After 14 months of lockdowns partygoers were looking forward to the event that saw ravers snap up thousands of tickets in a matter of minutes earlier this year, for a full day of world-class DJ's on a huge festival stage at the Lamex.

Renowned DJ Jess Bays who was set to headline, posted: "Gutted. Waited 17 months to play for it to get rained off.

"To anyone travelling to @WeAreLoveJuice @nufuture today please don't as it won't be going ahead."
