Hitchin residents will soon be able to enjoy two new facilities, as North Herts Council confirmed the opening dates for the outdoor gym at Bancroft Recreation Ground and the new skate park at King George V Recreation Ground.

The outdoor gym at Bancroft is set to open on the afternoon of Friday 2 October, following an official opening ceremony at 10am earlier that day.

Meanwhile, the skate park at King George V Recreation Ground is expected to reopen in mid-October after its redevelopment works. The council noted that the final date will depend on weather conditions.

Both projects form part of ongoing investment in Hitchin's recreation spaces, ensuring residents of all ages have access to modern, safe and accessible facilities.
