The North Herts Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) is hosting a bike marking event on Saturday 24 May. 

The event will take place in Market Place between 10am and 12pm. 

Bike marking is a useful deterrent against bike thieves. If they are found with a registered bike, the owner can be traced and the offender will be arrested. 

PCSO Phoebe Taylor, from the NPT, said: "These events are always really popular so if you have a bicycle please do come along and get it security marked. 

"It takes only seconds and will give you peace of mind. 

"You can also come to meet your local officers and discuss any issues you may have that we can help with."
