Residents and staff came together in joyful style this week as Milford Lodge care home marked Red Nose Day with a burst of creativity, laughter, and delicious treats. The home was transformed with bright decorations, cheerful red accents, and plenty of Comic Relief spirit.

🧁 Cupcakes That Stole the Show

The day began with a tray of beautifully themed cupcakes made by activity organiser Devina Kutowaroo each topped with a bold red nose made from fondant. Residents enjoyed choosing their favourite designs before tucking in, and the sweet treats quickly became a talking point around the lounge. For many, the cupcakes sparked memories of past bake sales, family celebrations, and favourite recipes.

🔤 Wordsearches & Word Scrambles

To keep minds buzzing, the activities lead Eliana Ferraris created Red Nose Day–themed wordsearches and word scrambles. Residents gathered around to puzzle out the clues, helping one another find hidden words like "giggle," "charity," and "comic." The room was full of friendly competition and plenty of triumphant smiles as people cracked the trickier challenges.

🎈 Decorations That Made Everyone Smile

The home was decked out in vibrant reds, playful bunting, and plenty of red noses. The decorations brought a sense of fun to every corner, and many residents proudly pointed out the pieces they had helped create. Staff joined in the spirit too, donning comic relief Tshirts, red noses and sharing jokes throughout the day.
