Police have released CCTV images of two people they would like to identify as part of an investigation into the theft of a television from a Hitchin hotel.

The incident happened at the Villare Hotel on Sun Street sometime between 3am and 2.30pm on Thursday, June 25, when an LG television was reported stolen from a room within the hotel.

Officers believe the two people shown in the CCTV images were in the area at the time of the theft and may have information that could help with their enquiries.

PC Izabela Nowosinska, who is leading the investigation, is asking anyone who recognises the individuals, or the people pictured themselves, to get in touch.

Anyone with information can email [email protected].

Information can also be reported online via the Hertfordshire Constabulary website, through the force's online web chat service, or by calling the non-emergency number 101, quoting crime reference 41/59504/26.

Alternatively, information can be provided anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111 or using its online reporting form.

Anyone who can help is urged to contact police as enquiries continue.
