DC Francois Olwage remanded in custody following bail hearing

DC Francois Olwage has been remanded in custody following a bail hearing at Winchester Crown Court today (Monday, November 1).

DC Olwage was previously charged following an allegation that he engaged with an online profile he believed to be a 13 year old girl before arranging to meet her.

The serving Metropolitan police officer is next scheduled to appear at Winchester Crown Court on Friday, November 19 for a pre-trial preparation hearing.

DC Olwage was arrested in Basingstoke, Hampshire on Thursday (October 28) as a result of a proactive police investigation led by Hertfordshire Constabulary.
