Residents at a Hitchin care home enjoyed a lively and memorable morning last week when popular TikTok streamer and musician DJ AG paid a special visit, filling the home with music, laughter and plenty of dancing.

Milford Lodge Care Home welcomed the online personality — known for his spontaneous street performances across London featuring major artists including Skepta, JME, Craig David, Will Smith and Ciara — for a more intimate performance with residents.

Swapping busy city crowds for a cosy Hitchin audience, DJ AG spent time chatting with residents and taking song requests, creating a party atmosphere that saw many joining in with singing, dancing and reminiscing about favourite songs from years gone by.

Activity Coordinator Devina Kutowaroo said music plays a vital role in residents' wellbeing.

She explained: "Music plays a powerful role in supporting wellbeing, especially for residents living with dementia. We were very excited to welcome DJ AG to our home, and it was wonderful to see everyone enjoying themselves."

Milford Lodge, based in Hitchin, is a 60-bed residential care home and includes a specialist 18-bed dementia care environment, providing tailored support for residents living with memory-related conditions.

Staff said the visit was a huge success, with residents already asking when the next musical event might take place.

The morning proved that, whether in a London street crowd or a Hitchin care home lounge, good music still brings people together.
