A well-known Eastenders star is set to open a new charity shop on Bancroft this weekend.

Michelle Collins - aka Cindy Beale - is a huge name in the world of soap stars, with the renowned BBC1 actor helping to boost a worthy cause in the process.

The Hitchin store that the soap star will be opening is called Noah - New Opportunities and Horizons - a local charity working across Bedfordshire offering hope and support to people struggling against homelessness and exclusion.

Noah's ethos is 'alleviating poverty, bringing hope' with the aim of their new Hitchin store to help raise funds for such a worthy cause.

Big hearted Michelle will be opening the Bancroft store today, Saturday (January 13) at midday.
