Excitement builds as Hitchin Priory Summer Series returns next week

Hitchin is set to host one of the biggest music events of the Hertfordshire summer, as the Hitchin Priory Summer Series returns for its second year.
With space for up to 8,000 people in the historic grounds of Hitchin Priory, the open-air concert series will once again bring world-class acts to the town, following its hugely successful debut last year.
Kicking things off on Thursday 28 August, legendary hitmakers Nile Rodgers & CHIC will bring their iconic disco, funk and soul anthems to Hitchin, joined by Heatwave and Crazy P (DJ).
On Friday 29 August, British pop star Jess Glynne headlines the "Hitchin Heatwave", performing chart-toppers such as Hold My Hand. She'll be joined by Charlotte Plank, Remember Monday and DJ Richelle.
Indie fans will be in for a treat on Saturday 30 August, when The Wombats and Razorlight share the stage for what promises to be a night of singalong anthems and high energy in one of Hertfordshire's most picturesque settings.
The series closes on Sunday 31 August with the Hertfordshire Reggae Fest, headlined by UB40 featuring Ali Campbell. Reggae legends Aswad, David Rodigan, Don Letts, Bitty McLean, Dawn Penn and the Trojan Sound System will also perform, bringing four days of live music to a close with sunshine and good vibes.
Last year's inaugural series drew huge crowds for performances from Busted, Dizzee Rascal, Craig David, De La Soul and more. Organisers say 2025 will be "even bigger and better" – putting Hitchin firmly on the summer festival map.
