Fabio on lockdown
How do we feel about the impending lockdown? Here we go again. We're burnt out, but positive.
Why are we positive? Because we have everything in place and set up and working from the last lockdown. So, it's not going to be a huge learning curve this time around. It's about just switching it all back on and adjusting.
Looking to Christmas
Among our customers, it does feel like no-one really wants to talk about it until it sinks in on Thursday, which is fair enough.
I do think there's a lot of frustration among people and businesses in Hitchin in general, as no-one really knows what's the right or wrong time to act. That maybe if if [lockdown was announced] faster, the non-essential shops could have been back open in time to hit some Christmas trade. I know those who rely on their Christmas trade are worried.
It was the same for us when we missed our summer trade. It can ruin your business overnight.
