We know Nub News is making a splash as we continue to grow up and down the county – but now FIFA has jumped on board and used one of our photos!

The governing body of the world's most popular sport used our exclusive photograph of the inspirational Betty-Leigh Allinson with the FA Cup.

Hitchin Nub News was present when the world's oldest knock-out trophy paid a surprise visit to honour Betty's tremendous fundraising - which has seen the five-year-old raise more than £31,000 for charity.

Betty, who lives with her parents Faye and Lee in Codicote, near Hitchin, rode a mile a day during lockdown to raise vital funds for Garden House Hospice Care – while wearing a different football shirt every day.

Her efforts caught the imagination of the game and she received support from all levels of football – from Arsenal to David Beckham and everywhere in between.

With Bettty's grandfather Ian, having played for Arsenal in the 1980s, the north London giants decided to honour Betty's achievements by sending the trophy to north Herts that they won in the final at Wembley against Chelsea earlier this month.

Hitchin Nub News was there to record the family-friendly event at Codicote FC and snapped away – leading to FIFA using our favourite picture of Betty for their website.

FIFA also tweeted their version of Betty's story to their 13.4million Twitter followers this week, using our picture on their website.

Proud mum Faye told Hitchin Nub News: "We can't believe how big Betty's story has become – we're so proud of her."
