This week is your last opportunity to visit a stunning collection of Rembrandt's 50 finest prints in Hitchin.
'Rembrandt in Print' features 50 works of art by the Dutch Master in a critically-acclaimed exhibition hosted by the town's North Herts Museum.
The jewel in the crown of the event at the revamped building on Brand Street is Rembrandt's 'Christ Presented to the People'.
Rembrandt – or Rembrandt Harmenszoon van Rijn - to give him his full name, employed a technique called drypoint, a form of engraving, in a process similar to using a pen without the ink – literally a 'dry point'.
Rembrandt formed images by using a sharp needle on a copper plate to create a piece that is considered to be one of his finest works in any medium held anywhere on the planet.
The powerful work by Rembrandt, of the greatest visual artists in the history of art, portrays the New Testament scene where Pontius Pilate asks Jerusalem to decide if Jesus or Barabbas should be spared execution - with Rembrandt setting the scene in front of a municipal building resembling Amsterdam Town Hall in 1655.
In the building next to Hitchin Town Hall you only have a matter of days left to enjoy the chance to savour this world famous work of art from the Dutch Master, created 14 years before his death.
The exhibition - which has been organised by the University of Oxford's Ashmolean Museum's collection of prints – also contains many self portraits, Rembrandt's unique still life print, The Shell while also featuring such works as The Three Trees and The Windmill.
The popular event has been extended until Sunday.
