FIRST GLIMPSE:

......................

A new bookshop in Hitchin is set to open very soon!

Next Page Books will be opening their doors in Queen Street in September.

The store aims to be an inclusive children's bookshop in our town centre that intends to celebrate and support neurodiversity in children and families.

Long-time pals Liz Tye and Julie Anderson have been busy putting the finishing touches to their exciting bookshop.

Speaking to Nub News, they said: "We now have the keys to our new children's bookshop 'Next Page Books'.

"We believe there is a book for every child and our aim is to find it. Our Hitchin children's bookshop will be stocked with great reads from new, exciting and diverse authors, as well as old favourites with an emphasis on inclusivity.

"Our specialism is neurodiversity - finding books to celebrate and support different situations, needs and conditions."

For the adults, the pair say they will have a carefully curated grown-up section and can order any book currently in print to the shop for the next day for customers.

While the opening date is still to be announced Next Page Books is sure to be a hit in our town.

"We are so looking forward to opening later in September- date to be announced - and working with local authors, illustrators and the many other wonderful independent businesses in Hitchin," Liz and Julie added, saying: "We love to talk books - and just to talk - so tell us what you're reading, and what you're looking for and we'll get searching."
