The Fox at Willian has hailed its talented staff on International Women's Day.

The acclaimed pub, restaurant and hotel near Hitchin has joined organisations across the world in highlighting women's achievements and call for action on equality.

The day is a global celebration hailing the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The event is also to raise awareness and call for accelerating gender parity.

"Happy International Women's Day," they posted on their Instagram account. "Thanks to all the women who make The Fox the place it is.

"We are so lucky to have talented female chefs, front of house staff and of course our general manager Kelly who has been a champion this last year looking after the place and our incredible people.

"We look forward to seeing you all back here soon."

Marked annually on March 8, International Women's Day (IWD) is one of the most important days of the year to celebrate women's achievements, raise awareness about women's equality lobby for accelerated gender parity fundraise for female-focused charities.
