Pasta lovers in Hitchin will have the chance to get their hands on a free lasagne later this month as Zizzi marks National Lasagne Day with a one-day giveaway.

On Wednesday, 29 July, the first 30 customers through the doors of the Hitchin restaurant at midday will receive a complimentary lasagne as part of a nationwide promotion taking place across all 133 Zizzi restaurants in the UK and Ireland.

Those who miss out on one of the free dishes won't leave empty-handed, with 50% off all lasagnes available for the rest of the day.

The offer includes Zizzi's popular Six Layer Lasagne, made with sheets of egg pasta, rich beef ragu, béchamel, breadcrumbs and Riserva cheese, as well as the indulgent All Out Lasagne, which features extra beef ragu, mozzarella and béchamel.

Vegetarian and vegan diners are also catered for with the Vegan Rainbow Lasagne, featuring butternut squash, beetroot, red onion, spinach, slow-roasted tomato sauce, Genovese pesto, crispy kale and breadcrumbs.

A whole day dedicated to one of the world's favourite foods is right up our street, and if you're the same, we'll see you on 29th July for the celebrations!"

Residents planning to claim one of the free meals are advised to arrive before midday, with the giveaway available on a first come, first served basis.
