Women across North Hertfordshire are being invited to attend a free menopause support workshop taking place in Letchworth later this month.

The session will be hosted by Juanita Prescott, Contract Activity and Wellbeing Manager at Everyone Active, and is designed to offer a safe, supportive and confidential space for women to learn more about the menopause.

The interactive workshop will explore the different stages of menopause, common physical and emotional symptoms, and how lifestyle changes – including nutrition, physical activity and positive daily habits – can help manage symptoms and improve overall wellbeing. Attendees will also have the opportunity to connect with others who may be experiencing similar challenges.

The workshop will take place at Fortescue Hall on Saturday 31 January, from 1.00pm to 3.30pm.

Speaking about the event, Juanita Prescott said: "The menopause can be a challenging time, and many women feel they have to navigate it alone. This workshop is designed to provide clear, practical information in a supportive and welcoming environment, helping women to better understand what's happening in their bodies and how simple lifestyle changes can make a real difference.

"Just as importantly, it gives women the opportunity to talk openly, share experiences and connect with others going through a similar stage of life, which can be incredibly empowering."

Amy Allen, Executive Member for Environment, added: "Menopause can affect every part of daily life, but it's still something many women feel uncomfortable talking about. Workshops like this create a welcoming space to ask questions, share experiences and get practical support, and I'm really pleased we're able to offer this to women in North Herts."

Places at the workshop are free, but booking is required in advance.

Residents can book via the Everyone Active app or website by selecting 'North Herts Community Outreach', or by calling 01763 255190 (option 3).
