Free Pizza, Films and Questions – Hitchin churches bring Youth Alpha to town.

Youth Alpha is a project in our town for young people to discuss the big questions: life and death and their meaning, without any judgement.

Youth Alpha will allow young people ages 10+ to ask things about existence, life and God that they may not feel able to anywhere else.

Nick Smith, Vicar of St Mark's said: "I'm excited to give the young people of Hitchin a chance to explore and question things that some people take for granted whilst others do not believe at all.

"The Youth Alpha Series is an engaging set of films that feature interviews and experts looking into the basis for why people believe what they do.

"You don't need to have a faith to come and enjoy this – these events are very much for sceptics as much as those who just want to find out if there might be more to life than the day-to-day.

"Plus, there's pizza…that's got to be a winner."

St Mark's Church Hitchin is working with other Hitchin churches to put on a series of films each Sunday afternoon for the next few weeks (starting THIS Sunday, 4pm to 530pm at St Mark's).

Along with the short films that are designed to make exploring the big questions of life relevant and exciting, the events will have free pizza along with the chance to ask anything you might want to ask.

So, if you've ever wanted to ask questions like 'why am I here?', 'is there a God?' or even 'if God exists – why did God allow Covid?' here is your chance to ask some of those questions with other local young people.
