There is a new way to move in Stondon, inside what was the old Pro Shop at the golf club - now a truly transformed fitness hub. Libra Reformer Pilates has officially opened its doors, bringing a fresh, energetic, and inclusive approach to fitness to the local community.

Housed in the beautifully reimagined Old Pro Shop at Mount Pleasant View, the studio has traded golf clubs for reformer machines. The space is now a calm, natural light-filled space designed to make the most of those famous panoramic views across the Bedfordshire countryside. Whether you're pulsing through a leg series or finding your balance, the grounds offer a backdrop that makes every session feel a little bit more like a retreat. 

A Space to Belong

For founders Nicole and Jason, opening Libra was about creating a spot where the atmosphere is just as important as the workout. The goal was to build a studio that feels friendly, open, and full of life - a place where people actually look forward to showing up.

"We've put a lot into creating Libra, so to now see people walking through the doors with a smile and making it part of their weekly routine has been incredibly rewarding" says Nicole. "It's not just about the workout, it's about how people feel when they're here and when they leave. Reformer Pilates is one of the most effective ways to build strength and improve how your body moves, but it should never feel intimidating. At Libra, we've created a space that's open to all, where people feel supported and challenged at their own level, whilst taking time for themselves. There's a real sense of community starting to happen here already, which was exactly what we had hoped for when we found the space."

The launch of Libra Reformer Pilates adds a vibrant new dimension to the Mount Pleasant View grounds. Positioned right next door to the new Bistro, it's the ultimate destination for a bit of "me-time". Catch a morning class and then wander over for a coffee or a healthy brunch, making "Pilates and Lattes" the new local tradition.

Inclusive Movement for Everyone

Libra has already hit the ground running, with over 200 people joining them for classes already. The studio is proud to be a space for all ages and fitness levels, offering memberships, flexible class packs and drop ins. 

• Intergenerational Fun: It's a regular sight to see local grandmas working out alongside their daughters, proving that the reformer is for every body.
• For the Gents: We're firmly breaking the myth that Pilates is just for the girls. With more men joining the studio every week, the reformer is proving to be a secret weapon for improving golf swings, boosting athletic performance, and building functional core strength for everyday fitness.
• The Jump Board: For those who want to get the heart rate up, our state-of-the-art reformers feature jump boards for a high-energy and fun cardio blast.
