More than 600 job seekers coming to police jobs fair
An incredible 660 people have signed up for the next Herts police jobs fair - but they've still got room for more.
You're invited to visit police HQ, take a tour and hear what careers are on offer at Hertfordshire Constabulary.
Superintendent Anna Wright, from our workforce planning team, explained: "We are thrilled that so many people are keen to join our police family here in Hertfordshire.
"It's not only new police officers we're after, we need experienced cops who would like to explore their career opportunities in road policing, response, as detectives or in neighbourhood officer roles, including flexible options.
"Transferees into Hertfordshire Constabulary tell us they like the fact that you're not just a number in Herts and we offer a bespoke career journey for officers coming in from other forces in addition to extra pay for in-demand detective roles.
"We've also got lots of staff roles with part-time flexible working and job-shares available in all kinds of non-uniform staff roles. We offer a competitive salary with pension and benefits, a supportive work environment and agile working in many roles."
It's worth noting that on Saturday, September 10, applications close for the traditional Initial Police Learning and Development Programme course where you train to be a police officer over two years with candidates considered even if you don't have GCSE maths and English, usually minimum requirements.
Jobs on offer include:
• Police officers
• Detectives
• Police Community Support Officers
Book your hour-long slot via: www.eventbrite.com/e/hertfordshire-police-careers-day-tickets-390958105217Nand come along between 4pm and 8pm next Thursday, September 8 to Stanborough Road, Welwyn Garden City, AL8 6XF.
