The incident occurred in Church Lane, at the junction with Grove Road, at around 4.20pm on Saturday 4 February.

It was reported that a man aged in his 40s was out walking his dogs when an altercation occurred with two people who were sitting in a vehicle.

The man walked away and was subsequently assaulted, sustaining GBH level injuries including a broken arm.

Detective Sergeant Ben Dixon, from the Stevenage Local Crime Unit, said: "Our enquiries into the incident are continuing at this time and, as part of this, we are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
