Princess Helena College has hailed its talented pupils on A-Level results day.

The highly-renowned co-educational independent day and boarding school for ages 11-18 based in Preston, near Hitchin has praised its students.

The college, which always posts excellent A-Level results is set in 100 acres of beautiful countryside, with the establishment priding itself on combining excellence with a wide range of co-curricular opportunities and outstanding individual attention.

"Congratulations to our Year 13 students for their hard work and dedication over the last two years," the school tweeted on its official account on Thursday, adding: "We would like to recognise the strength they have displayed in the last few months, it has been an incredibly challenging situation and we are extremely proud of each and every student."

The well-respected school also 'liked' a tweet from pupil Taylor Castro who was offered a place at the prestigious University College London to study philosophy - with the talented teen reacting to her good news by posting: "Wow, I really did that."
