The opening date of a much-anticipated cocktail bar and grill is moving ever nearer.

Ibos describes itself as 'all-day cocktail bar' and is in Hitchin High Street.

Hitchin Nub News understands that the cocktail bar on the site of the former Cafe Rouge is set to open 'at the end of May.'

With the second May Bank Holiday weekend at the end of that month, Friday, May 28 or Saturday, May 29 could be earmarked for the grand opening.

The new venture, as Nub News has reported will also be offering a range of burgers and pizzas.

The new place is on the site of the former Café Rouge after it permanently closed last summer following the owners of the high street chain falling into administration.

The site on Hitchin High Street shut its doors in March last year due to the coronavirus pandemic, and did not reopen.
