Hitchin Beer and Cider Festival: All you need to know about this fantastic event including special offers for Nub News readers
The Hitchin Beer and Cider Festival is finally here - and is offering Hitchin Nub News readers a special deal
Our town's eagerly-awaited - and acclaimed - beer festival is back.
After a hiatus caused by the pandemic in 2020 and a scaled-down event in 2022, this year's full-size festival returns.
The renowned Hitchin Beer and Cider Festival returns runs over the weekend - with Lyndhurst Financial Management once again displaying their commitment to our community by sponsoring the popular event.
The festival will be hosted at its home of the last few years, Hitchin Rugby Club, based at King George V Playing Fields off Old Hale Way.
The organisers
The Hitchin Beer and Cider Festival is run by the North Herts branch of the Campaign for Real Ale, Hitchin Round Table, and Hitchin Rugby Football Club.
They tell Nub News that they had a great start on Thursday evening, with hundreds joining the fun.
Opening times
Today, Friday (June 10) and Saturday the festival opens at noon and pre-bookings suggest it'll be lively.
Line ups
The festival is one of the best around. It features more than 90 real ales, around 54 real ciders and perries and will also be offering KeyKeg and international beers and mead totalling more than 200 varieties.
These will all be served in the large marquee familiar to festival-goers from 2019 and before.
Outside there will be a variety of food vendors covering all tastes, and Artystar, CAMRA North Herts' merchandise partner, will be both selling and offering live screen-printing of t-shirts on-site.
