Hitchin's famous Christmas tree festival is returning.

Our town's renowned festival showcasing Christmas trees comes back to its usual place this year, after Covid interrupted the event in 2020 forcing displays to be featured in the town centre.

This year will mark the 25th anniversary of the eagerly-awaited celebration to be held at its traditional home, Holy Savour Church on Radcliffe Road.

Held every year since 1997 the event is believed to be the oldest established Christmas Tree Festival in Britain.

Organisers said: "We are really looking forward to see all you exhibitors and your lovely trees back in the church."

Admission is £5 with accompanied children free.

The Hitchin Christmas Tree Festival will be held at Holy Savour Church on Radcliffe Road on Saturday, December 11 from 1030am to 6pm and on Sunday, December 12 between 12noon and 6pm.

Light refreshments will be available.
