Officers are appealing for information, witnesses and dash cam footage following a collision between a cyclist and a vehicle in Hitchin.

At around 7.20pm on Thursday (19 January), a cyclist was riding along Pirton Road, from Pirton towards Hitchin when they were involved in a collision with a vehicle.

The vehicle carried on driving, heading towards Hitchin town centre.

The cyclist, a man in his fifties, sustained minor injuries and the ambulance service was called.

PC Poppy Page, who is investigating, said: "I am appealing for any witnesses or anyone with information to get in touch. In particular, if you were driving through the area around the time and have a dash cam fitted to your vehicle, please check it and get in touch if you spot something that might help our enquiries.

"You can get in touch with me directly by emailing [email protected] and quoting ISR 762 of 19 January."
