HITCHIN: Did you get stuck trying to get through a main road in Hitchin on Monday evening?

Did you get caught at the roundabout on Redhill Road attempting to drive down Bedford Road?

Police closed the busy road in both directions at teatime, forcing motorists to find alternative ways to get through.

Hitchin Nub News spoke to Herts Police to find out why.

Here's what they said: "We were called aound 540pm yesterday (Monday, November 29) to reports of a collision in Bedford Road, Hitchin.

"It involved a blue Audi A3 and a black BMW 3-Series.

"Both parties exchanged details and it was recorded as a damage-only collision. No injuries were reported."
