With Bonfire Night nearly upon us, the skies will soon be lit up by bright fireworks.

This year, Bonfire Night will fall on Saturday, (November 5) with a variety of events and displays being organised across our area.

Bonfire Night is celebrated every year in commemoration of the failed gunpowder plot which sought to blow up the House of Lords and King James I in 1605.

The plot was famously initiated by Guy Fawkes, which is why some people refer to the holiday as Guy Fawkes Night - find out which Bonfire Night events are taking place in our area.
