Hitchin FoodFest has been hailed as a huge success!

The renowned event in the Hitchin calendar proved to be a smash hit in the Market Place and High Street this weekend.

As well as showcasing our local eateries, the culinary festival offered the best in street food and local produce.

Acclaimed 'Hitchin community engagement officer' Danny Pearson told Nub News: "What a treat to the senses the Hitchin Food Festival was - and the weather certainly helped.

"It was great to see so many people out and about soaking up the late summer sunshine.

"I haven't seen the town that alive in such a long time. The food and drink on offer was outstanding and dare I say it: life felt almost normal again.

"Congratulations to all involved and roll on Hitchin Food Festival 2022!"

Activities that wowed the crowds included the ever-popular Taster Tent with special events including a Cheese & Beer event in conjunction with Halsey's.

The Hitchin FoodFest has fast become one of the most popular events in the Hertfordshire foodie calendar and attracted a large number of visitors to our town centre throughout the weekend.

Organisers promote the best food and drink at the festival underpinned by high quality, local well-sourced street food and seasonal local produce with traders selected on the basis of quality and integrity of produce.
