Hitchin town centre has played host to many a notable visitor over the years - but a hundred strong tractor convoy decorated in tinsel with Father Christmas in tow has to be a first

If you are around Market Place on Saturday, December 18 come and watch tractors dressed up for Christmas with decorations and lights passing through our local area as part of the Farmers on Christmas Light Tour.

The tour is raising funds for the Garden House Hospice, so please come out and support and make a donation - we've even heard Father Christmas may well also be joining the tractors.

The tractors will be passing through Baldock High Street at around 6pm, then onto Letchworth for 645pm where they will be driving along Broadway Gardens, then Eastcheap, Leys Avenue, Norton Way South, Station Road and Station Place.

The final leg of the tour will see the tractors passing through Hitchin at 730pm, travelling down Hermitage Road, Bancroft and High Street before the 100-strong convoy will park up in Portmill Lane Carparks for around one hour for your viewing pleasure.

Remember this event is raising funds for Garden House Hospice so please come out and see the tractors and make a donation.
