Heatwave advice

With a heatwave upon us NHDC has issued advice to look out for older people and others who may find it more difficult to stay cool and hydrated in hot weather – and stay 'weather aware'.

Many people who are at higher risk of ill health due to the hot weather are also at higher risk of severe illness from coronavirus – so please do take care

Business Support Grant funding closes on 28 August in North Herts - apply before it's too late. To find out if your business is eligible for support and to apply for a Business Support Grant

Fly tipping

Please do not leave unwanted waste outside of your house for scrap metal collectors - this is illegal and classed as fly tipping. Remember - your waste is your responsibility.

Covid update

North Herts District Council add: "Thank you for all your efforts to help control coronavirus in North Herts.

"We're not through this yet though. Wash your hands, keep your distance, wear a face covering and if you have symptoms, isolate and get tested."

Refuse collections

Due to the hot weather we are expecting at the end of this week, we will be starting bin collections slightly earlier each morning.

Please can you put your bin out the night before your collection rather than in the morning to ensure it doesn't get missed. Thank you.
