Hitchin's famous lido, a 50 metre pool originally opened back in 1938, will be BACK later this year with "Everyone Active" confirming in the new year the opening date for the upcoming season.

Swimmers should put Saturday May 24th in their diaries.

The lido operates seasonally from May to September, providing what Everyone Active describe as a "refreshing retreat during the warmer months".

Daily opening times typically include lane swimming from 8:00 am, with public swimming sessions between 9:00 am and 1:00 pm, and 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

The lido was used as a filming location for the romantic drama film My Policeman, which stars Harry Styles, Emma Corrin, and David Dawson.

Filming took place in June 2021, with the lido's 1950s ambiance providing an authentic backdrop for scenes set in that era
