Did you witness an incident near Hitchin splash park that led to a man being arrested?

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward as part of an ongoing investigation into an

incident in Hitchin after a 21-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of indecent exposure and has been released on bail while enquiries continue.

The incident occurred in Bancroft Park, between 630am and 1130am on Friday, June 11.

It was reported that a man wearing a black hoodie was seen to be acting suspiciously while sitting

on a bench.

Detective Constable Kate Rickard, who is investigating, said: "An arrest has been made in

connection with the incident and we're now seeking further independent witnesses as part of our

ongoing enquiries.

"If you believe you saw a man acting suspiciously in the area between the times stated, please contact us with information."
